Unlike man, when women learn they snore during their sleep they are most embarrassed. Somehow, society had taught us that it is ok for men to snore, but if women snore it is most unusual. Well, here are some tips for the snoring woman.
Did your bed partner tell you that you snore during your sleep? Your face must have been red. It is a most embarrassing situation. Chances are your loved ones let you in only on some of the incidents your snoring has been disturbing for them. Maybe your husband is starting to be irritated? Maybe your children can hear you snore lying in their beds? Don't be surprised, I must admit that my next door neighbor is a snorer and he keeps me awake some nights of the week. Being a snoring woman can be very shameful.
However, as much as being a snoring woman can be embarrassing it is not a significant as the fact that snoring could be associated with serious health risks. This fact is true for all snorers no matter their sex. Although men are thought to be at a greater risk in developing snoring related health risks than women, there is on study which showed these risks apply to women the same as to men.
The study found that more than 30% of women who snore on a regular basis were more likely to develop heart disease and stroke than women who are not snoring on a regular basis. The study also found that snoring woman are 20% more likely to experience cardiac arrest more than non-snoring women. Therefore, in case you are a snoring woman, embarrassment has no place in your life and you should discuss your snoring problem with a doctor to make sure you treat your problem.

Lose weight
Quit smoking
Sleep on your side avoiding sleeping on your back
Avoid alcohol
Avoid using sleeping pills or tranquilizing medication
Again, the best thing you could do is see your doctor and remember� snoring is a problem, and not a shameful one.
